Find the difference. Fix it once.
The free scan needs no setup and runs on your real books today. Paid cleanup adds one guided step - confirming your QuickBooks accounts - because proposing entries against your chart of accounts is impossible without it. We say that plainly instead of claiming magic.

What is running today, plainly
The free scan and the one-time cleanup work now. Continuous monitoring does not - it needs the read-only Shopify and QuickBooks connections, which are still in review, and we would rather label that than describe a nightly re-scan that isn’t happening. The $3 spot exists so we know who wants it first, not to bill you early.
The write ritual, before you ever need it
LedgerClear proposes correcting journal entries; it never posts on its own. Each entry posts only when you approve it. Every posted entry ships with a ready-made reversing entry, and every read, proposal, approval, and post lands in an immutable audit log. Any correction dated inside a filed tax period - VAT or US filed sales tax - is propose-only, always: a reversing entry can undo a ledger post; it cannot unfile a return.
Sometimes the right answer is a different sync, or a bookkeeper. The scan report says so when it’s true. LedgerClear audits per-order syncs today - the official connector and Synder. Summary-posting tools like A2X and Link My Books: auditing support comes later, and LedgerClear runs alongside them without touching their entries either way.
